WHAT TO EXPECT
BOOK YOUR EYE TEST
1
For a comprehensive eye examination and a detailed assessment of your overall eye health, we recommend you allow up to an hour at Clamp.
Our private adult eye examination fee is £120.
EXAMINE YOUR EYES
2
During your eye examination, you will be asked to complete a series of tests which are all designed to assess your visual status (whether you might be long or short-sighted) and eye health. None of these are difficult or painful in any way, but are important for your optometrist to be able to accurately prescribe any eyewear, if this is necessary.
CHOOSE YOUR FRAMES
3
Like the clothes that you wear or the car that you drive, your eyewear is an important part of your life and a key expression of your personal style – not just a means by which to see but also a mode in which to be seen.
ENJOY YOUR VISION
4
We evaluate everything from your facial shape and proportions to your skin, hair and eye colour and identify the glasses that’ll not only enhance and compliment your features but will say what you want them to say about yourself.

Not only that. Here are some of the testimonials from some of our very satisfied clients.
I have been suffering with very severe dry eye for many months to the point where could not tolerate looking at the pc screen for longer than 5 minutes. Visited other independent optometrists in Cambridge, without successful treatment, or an explanation on what might be going on.
The knowledge and expertise of the team at Clamp was way beyond what I have experienced so far throughout my life with a congenital visual defect.
The assessment of my dry eye was incredibly thorough and was provided witha detailed rationale on recommendations for care and treatment. I am very pleased I signed up for the Activa Heat Mask andTearstim IRPL Treatment sessions for dry eye, and subsequently underwent the Punctal Plug procedure.

"I have been coming to Clamps for years and they've always been welcoming, given great service and have an excellent range of glasses. Amy recently went above and beyond to come up with a solution to find a cost effective way of repairing a pair of glasses I'd managed to break within months of buying them. Thank you Amy, and thank you team Clamp."

"Superb service from Mitesh in speedily and accurately iagnosing temporal arteritis - arare autoimmune condition - as the cause of my double vision and headaches. His immediate referral of me to Addenbrookes resulted in an emergency eye clinic appointment in under 24 hours, confirmation of his diagnosis and me being put on a high dose steroid course (whilst still in the clinic) which is now bringing the condition under rapid control. Very many thanks, Mitesh. A sterling effort for which I am most grateful."
